The Lottery

I think the lottery was cool because it showed lives of 4 different lives about people and how they wanted to get in to Harlem Success Academy.I didn't make connections because I don't know any body that was in that situation. Also I think that it was nice that at least 1 out of 4 of them that got in to school.I think that it was important to the families because they wanted their children to have a better education for them.

The book I am reading is new moon one thing that is happening in this book is that Bella is doing better after she hurts her self at her party and she comes home to see her dad and Edward spending time together.Edward and Bella's dad were watching t.v,then when Bella walks in to her house nobody turns around to see who came in the door.Bella thought that they were ignoring her but their eyes were stuck on the t.v.They finally turned around ,as Bella was getting ready to join them watching t.v.

My game idea is:To make a board game where you pick the board background and a card and it gives you a question, then you have to click an answer then you get points and you do what is says behind the card if you get it right.If get the question right you gain points and if you get it wrong you lose points.Once you finish the game you add up all your points and that's what's your score.Then it will tetermain if your a good parent or not.It will also help you if you get a question wrong.

New Schedule

Our new schedule is cool becuase I get to be with some of my old friends and make new ones.I am also happy because my first class is Fine arts or P.E.Most of my friends in my old class are in some of my new classes.I think the change is better becuase we get to meet new people and be with friends.

Today is Friday and I am soooo happy this weekend I plan to go to sleep.I might go to my baby cuz's house to baby sit UUUURR!She is 1 and is soo cute Her name is Karlie ........Yea I kno Carly.....Karlie her brother named her. I'm happy when we come bck to school we have 1and a 1/2 days left til thanksgiving break!!!Then the next break we hav is Christmas break I'm gonna spend it with my family but it's not fun christmas eve and christmas day first I ussaly go to my dad's mom house then my mom's but we might change it !!Welllll..............tht's it BYE PPL~!!!

New Moon

I am reading New Moon I am reading this because I like the twilght saga's.So far Bella is seeing her grandmother she thinks she's dreaming or dead.Then after she meets her grandmother she notices that Edward comes and how is she going to explain him to her grandmother.Today in the story It's bella's birthday but she doesn't want people to know becuse she thinks that her birthday isn't special or that when she wants to mourn that isn't anything to celebrate about.When Bella went to endward's house where everyone was waiting for them they walked in and they ate cake and opened presents when bella's cut her arm and had began to bleed Carlisle was there and was able to help her. 

The Diary of Anne Frank

The Diary of Anne Frank was about a girl named Anne Frank and her family were in the middle of a war and they had to leave because of it.Her family left and they moved to an annex were Anne's father worked to live in.The war was in polland and went on for 5 years.

Mini Game

So far my fav part of the mini game is moving the bunny and carrot.My other fav part would be add the background colors to it.I would like to learn how to add other things to our game.Like other characters or objects.Today we added files to our wiki page/our projects page.Today we  learned how to add a background to our mini game movie.

Mini Game

Nov 1,2010-Today we practiced making a mini game by putting our computer flash drive into the computer and we went to the sixth grade course schedule and went to create our own mini game with a carrot and we moved it any way we wanted to. Nov 2,2010-We got to move a carrot around . This week I have been looking forward to making a game.One success i have had this week was that I got to move a object.One thing that was hard was trying to move the objects around.I am looking forward to finishing and playing the game.I feel good about what I learned because I am learning to make a game.Nov 3,2010-Today the game designing has gotten easier but I think it is going to get harder. Today I also think we will finish the game and play it.I think that it is going to be hard to finish it but I think I will.Once I finish my game I will be sooooo happy and relief that I finished it It is also going to help me make my social issue game.Nov 4 , 2010 -Today we are suppose to finish the mini game but you never know we could get in trouble or we can just have to many steps to do.Our next step is step #4 we are suppose to add the bunny to our mini game.I think it is going to be easy if we have to do the same thing to the bunny what we did to the carrot.I think since the first day we started the game then we had to re-do it because we switched flash drives the game has gotten boring.Nov 5, 2010-Today I hope we finish our mini game so that we can play it.Today is finally Friday and I am happy this Saturday is our Service Learning field trip to the University of Texas!I am glad that we get to go to my future college.After that I want to go home and sleep but it is a bummer that we have to get up early.In Mr.Bradford's class there was a cat on the rail and we all said "Look at the cat!".Mr.Bradford got mad and said "Is the cat Really important?"Then the second time the cat was by our window we all looked and said "Look the cat came back then since to us the cat was really important Mr.Bradford got mad an tried to close the window and the cat saw him and ran towards him and the cat ran into the WINDOW!!Omg! It was sooooo funny!But poor cat.

This Week

This week has been so awesome we got to be out of dress code and we got to get candy and have fun (friday)!

I am doing my social issue on  pandas because the giant panda is endangered.
Pandas:

•  The Giant panda lives in china
•  It is expensive to have a panda in a zoo(2,500,00 per year)      
•  In the wild if a mother panda has twins it has to leave 1 behind in the wild.
•  People can help by rescuing pandas that are in need of help.
•  All giant pandas are given Chinese names.
•  Most Pandas die because people cut down bamboo trees which pandas mostly eat.

Globaloria

last night I came back to school to go to the game design workshop.Dajon,christian,rudy,victor,mercedes and my friend leonard came they are my friends.It was really cool because we got to play games on the computer,eat pizza,design our own real life example games and MAKE OUR OWN GAME ON THE COMPUTER!This week is also red ribbon week it's when we represent we will not do drugs by wearing funny outfits to match the days theme.Monday-Be a sport against drugs;we wear our fav team jersey.Tuesday-Sock it to drugs day;wear your fav or crazy socks day.Wednesday-Pair up to drugs day;have a twin or more. Thursday-Be smart against drugs; be a nerd.Friday-Say boo 2 drugs;wear a Halloween costume.This week we also finished our movie paper clips it was really hard to hear about.I can't believe people had to experience horrible things during the holocaust.I think what the kids did to make a memorial and collect paper clips was so generous and kind.They really want to be a hero and i look up to them.It was also really cool that they found an old rail car to put the paper clips in.The rail car looked really old beacuse the paint inside and outside of it was worn off and it was dirty.Once the students fixed it it looked a lot better.

Paper Clips

Paper clips is about a school in Whitwell,Tennessee.The students there wanted to collect paper clips to represent what happened in the Holocaust.Over 60 million Jewish people died during the holocaust.Students at Whitwell Middle School decided to raise paper clips for the holocaust.They found a old rail car and put the paper clips in there 6 million for the Jews that died and 5 Million for the inocencence that was killed by Hitler.

The Dance!!!!!

YEA BOY!!!!!Today is the dance and I am sooooo Excited about it!!!!!!It is gonna be so amazing and awesome!I am going to it and gonna have fun!!My BFF'S Alexis,Yenifer,Lank,AnD Andrea L. are going 2.Today is also the A/B honor roll but I'm not going.I don't really care though.I just wanted to go to the dance.

My topic was about drugs.The topic is important to me because alot of people use drugs ecpscially teens.I am trying to find out the most used drug and what percent of how many teens use it and how many adults use it.

My Biggest Challenge

My biggest challenge would be staying on task.I overcame it by not siting by someone who I know or my teachers will know I will talk to.So far I faced not geting grades lower than a C . I also faced not geting any red referrals.

Most Meaningful Movie

The most meaningful movie to me was food inc. because it inspires me to read labels and be organic.Also because It made me want to learn about food recals.And because it helps me understand to read food labels more often.

DIRT! The Movie

Dirt the movie was interesting because it talks to you about how we should take more care of it.The most reason why we are losing dirt is because people build factories,houses or buildings and it is covering the dirt.Another reason why is because global warming.I think that DIRT!The Movie was better than food inc. because Dirt the movie didn't make me wanna barf.Also because food inc. was sick beacuse they showed us how they kill chickens and pigs.

Back to school night

This Week

This Week has been really long but I am soooo glad it is over!I worked my best this week so I am happy to relax.Saturday we are coming back to school to do our 1st  service learning project.I am happy because it is in the morning but sad because i have to wake up early.Well that's all I have to say have a GREAT weekend everybody.BYE!!!

Food Inc.

My thoughts on the movie was I thought it was very cruel what they do to chickens,wild boars,and cows.I also thought that it was very wrong to make food that was supposed to be recalled but they didn't and when they did that they ended up killing a two year old boy named kevin. After kevin died his mother tried to pass a law called kevin's law to stop food industries that make food that was supposed to recalled.It was very wrong to have an inocent boy die for no reason.I also thought it was very disgusting how they made food like burgers or chicken.

The Week Is Over!!

The week is finally over I can't wait to go home and sleep the whole weekend.This weekend I am gonna  play basket ball.Another thing I'm gonna do is watch t.v.!!!!!!!!!The last thing I'm gonna do is play video games!!

Social Issues # 2

What I've learned about social issues this week is that not caring for the Earth.A lot of poeple really don't care about it but when the earth is gone you will care then.The earth is very important because without it you won't have any oxeygen,food,water,or life.The most reason why the earth is at high risk of dying is because people are global warming.When you global warm you make the world high rate of  the earth dying go up.

Least Effective Learning Game

The least effective learning game to me was Zietgest.Zietgest helps you explore different things from the past.You can learn about the past.The genre is action.It looks good.It clearly illustrates the learning concept.The game works very well.If I could improve it I would have the player get another chance at a question.I would like to learn how to make a colorful background and how to make a character.

Most Effective Learning Game

The most effective learning game to me was Nothing But Net.Nothing But Net teaches you how far to go to make the ball go into the net. I learned how long to hold the mouse.The game's genre is sports.The game's genre is  a good choice because a lot of people really like to play games like that.The game looks really good.It doesn't illistrate the concept of the game.It is clear what you need to do.To  change it I would put a math question before or after you make a basket.I would like to learn how to add music and how to make a character or object move.

Social Issues

Drunk driving is one social issue because if you are drunk driving you can't drive that good because the alcohol stops you from seeing clearly.So you are going all over the place because you can't see so most people that (D.W.I)on the streets mostly end up dying or in the hospital with bad injuries.

Game Genres

My Favorite type of game is action because I like to play games like halo because I like to shoot the monsters.When you play it if you die you have to start over.And you have to be really sneaky because if you are trying to get the monsters they can't see you unless you hide.Also you need to watch out for big monsters because the bigger the monster the harder it is to stay alive.And that's why I picked Action for my favorite genre

An Inconvennient Truth

An Inconvennient Truth was about Al Gore talking to people about global warming. Al Gore was in congress to become president of the united states but loss to Gorge Bush.In the story Al Gore tells people that they should care more about the world because the way most people treat the earth it affects everyone.I found out that the when more and more glaciers fall the polar bears and penguins can't find any glaciers to live on so they end up drowning,also that when it gets too hot the fish can't swim in hot water so they get too hot and die.

First Week

My first week of school has been GREAT! But the day is very long.I like the classes they are really cool because we have math,science,social studies,english,spanish,globaloria,P.E.,service learning, and fine arts. But the day goes by really fast.The lunch is really good.Also I like that we get to use lockers my favorite class so would have to be service learning because i like to help people. So far my 1st 2 weeks have been AWESOME!
