My Topic is about Ocean Pollution.


This issue interests me because a lot of people hear about air pollution so I thought about water pollution because water pollution is less focused on.


I want people to learn about the effects of water pollution because it can really affect us.


This issue needs to be addressed because we can all be hurt from water pollution and its a big issue to deal with.

Reflection

My game is created for any grade level because its a simple task that's needed to complete the game,so there is no prior knowledge needed.


My game will teach you how to really take care of the earth and not pollute a lot because when we do that we can begin to kill a lot of animals.


My game happens in the Ocean there is no specific location the location can be in any known oceans/waters.
-In my game the setting will help teach the player that any where in the waters pollution can affect it.


My game teaches the player about the topic by showing that by polluting near by the ocean can interfere with the marine life that lives there.
-What helps my player learn is that it shows the player that you can help keep the ocean clean and no-polluted.
-From using what they learned in the game can help them save the animals in the game before they die.


A game is a better way to teach someone about a topic is because a lot of people enjoy playing games.With games people will focus more on the game and they will understand it more.With a quiz they can just put random answers and still not understand the game topic.

Some challenges that penguins overcome is being careful where they are and if there are any predators around.When its winter they have to go through the snow storm and risk dying.

The types of adaptations penguins need in order to survive is their body shape has to be a certain way so that they swim fast underwater so they can run away from predators and also they need to have a lot of blubber so they can stay warm when they are stuck in snow storms and not freeze to death.

The reason why the sun doesn't shine for a long period of time is most likely because the position of where Antarctica is it can't reach the amount of sunlight like we get.

Was it hard to make your mini game?   

It was kinda hard to make my mini game because of when I put in the wrong code I would have to look over it and try and find which is the problem.

What was the best part of this topic?  

 The best part of this topic is that it was easy to do because from last year when we did this it helped me learn about it more and make it actually move the way I want it.

The worst part? 

The worst part of this topic is that we couldn't do different characters.

I Was 2 years old when 9/11 happened.
2.)When did you first learn about the attacks and who explained the events to you?
I first heard about 9/11 when I was in my elementary school when the anniversary of when 9/11 happened we had a moment of silence to honor them.In that week we had learned and talked about what had happened.
3.)What kind of impact did these attacks have on your life or your parents lives?
My mother and father felt very sad and were shocked when they found out that the planes had hit the twin towers and the pentagon in Washington D.C.
4.)What was the issue with this game?
The issue in this game is that they are remembering  9/11.
5.)How do you feel about it?
I think the game is a good way in honoring 9/11 and show how when the twin towers were hit it was something nobody will ever forget.
6.)What is the problem with portraying on such an awful violent event through a video game?
The problem with making a game out of when the twin towers were hit is making people relive the horrible day when the terrorists came and tried to destroy The Pentagon,The Twin Towers,and everything else they had planned to knock down.

We could use true facts about 9/11 and not false accusations we make up.We can also use real events that occurred.

If I was in Taylor's shoes I would have ignored everything they said but if it got way bad and out of contol I would have told the Principal,Teacher,Mom or Dad.

Taylor's mood in the begining was happy and she wore her clothes she liked but when people kept cyberbluying on her she wore sweats and baggy clothes and she wasn't that out going.

Thizz Week

This week it was exciting because people are going to alot of places.Last Friday we came back from NASA.It was fun this week Tuesday people went to Sea World.I couldn't go because idk y I'm like soo awesome!I don't care though because I'm going to Schlitherbauhn which is wayyyy better.The Globie awards is Thursday and I'm Nominated yea! Apollo 13

Apollo 13 was a really cool movie because it had exciting things about it.My favorite part was when they made it back to Earth.It was cool how they made it too because they were going real fast on their way back.I would like to go to the moon to and travel back the same way but it would be scary because people have died from going into space and if the ship exploded.I would not wanna take that risk.Heres one of my favorite pics that I saw its sooo cool.

The lightning Theif was about a kid name Percey Jackson and his friend Grover where at a school field trip at a musuem.A girl named Nancy was Percey's enemie and he didn't like her and she didn't like him.She started to through things at him and his friend Grover.She would always make Percey get in trouble.At the museum Nancy was arguing with Percey when he got mad and he made the water in the water fountain get her and pull her down.He gets in trouble by Ms.Doods and she talks to him and then all of a sudden Ms.Doods turns into a monster then she goes after him and then Mr.Bruner gives him the pen and then Percey defeats Ms.Doods.

My Day

My day has been fun but my 5th period was boring and I now have homework soo boring.Well I might be a cheerleader and all that yay!With my Bff's

Reflect on Your Game

Now that my game is finished I am happy that now I can play it.Working in a group the 1st time was fun but there was difficulties.Like when we didn't agree on the same ideas or plan.Working alone was kinda better because I could do whatever I wanted to but it was kinda bad because I didn't have another person to consult with and share ideas.One thing I did that I am proud of is that I helped alot of people with there game and I helped make it work.One thing I learned about myself is how I can make my game work or even better.I'm really surprised how my game works and how to use wiki tips to make my game work.I am really proud of myself on how my game is and that my game was so good I got nominated for the globey awards and that I'm going to NASA.

Service Learning

Today we went on our Service Learning Trip it was ok,but there was a lot of walking which kinda made me tired.I really didnt enjoy it becuase today was my Saturday and I was looking forward to sleep but its good that we helped clean the neighboorhood.It sucked becuase we had to clean other peopels mess.I think if they picked it themselves the community would be better.I wanted to at least paint that would have been better but instead I had to wake up early to pick someone else trash.My partner was Karla☻Yay cuz she is my best friend!Well one of my bestfriends theres alot.I'm happy that they didn't put me with out one of my besties.Well thats it sooo glad its over because I'ma go home and sleep ttyl!!♥

Stand and Deliver

Stand and Deliver was really cool because of how he taught Calculus to a large group of people and even though it was hard he did it .One word that would describe it would be teaching because he had hard times with some of the students and how they got accused of cheating.It was also really cool because they proved them wrong when they re-took the test.It was a reallly amazing movie becuase it was cool how he taught them was awesome.Jamie Escalente died last year becuase of cancer.He was really amazing what he did and he is my role model.

The Big Test

I can't belive that the taks test is next week!I know I am going to pass because I have been trying hard and I have been practicing.I'm really nevous that I moght fail but I know that if I take my time and try my best I could do it.When its over I'm going to wait till I find out what i got.I can't wait.

iPads for Kids

I think that using ipads is good because if they are doing a project they can go look it up on the ipad instead of going to share computers.Also because they can express their artwork into it.Another reason why is because they have an app that helps them go wherever they need to go without going to a different computer.Some things that are disadvantages are that they could lie and go on to another web site they aren't suppose to and because they dont know how to use them because they are 2nd and 3rd graders.Using the iPad is great because of all the things you can do.

Game Demo Progress

So far my profress on my game is good because I am not very close to finishing it but I am almost done.If I work on it harder and I try to finish I might have my own game.I learned how to close open gaps with out taking all your time all you do is press this button on the editing bar.I'm proud of where I am in my game because its really cool and close to finished.Its really colorful and awesome and I like editing the game demo because when you are done with it it's going to turn out amazing.

Playing Games for Ideas

The first game I played was Bloxorx it has a timer and music.Bloxorx had a cool theme of what to do but it didnt really help me in my game that much and game. I played was B-cubed it had a cool background because it was an outer space.I think the game developers got a real picture or imagined what the background was going to look like.The designing page or editing my game might help me with making it better.

Game Progress Reflection

I learned how to drag and drop things in flash and how to change colors when you drag and drop them.I learned how to create some cool things in flash like people and tracing pictures.I wasn't able to help someone with my game because i am usually the one that needs help.So far I am happy with what I have started with and I think my game is gonna turn out really well.I never get frustrated with my work if I get angry or fustrated I calm down or try out something  to get my mind off of it.

If I didn't have blogging I would make a committee to try and get it in the school.Another way would be to talk to the Principal or have a potion to get it involed.Its good because it helps you express your feelings and people can share their feelings and opinons too.Some other are that people that want to follow your blog to see your post on your everyday life can follow it.You can use blogger to post things that are happening in your life and see what people say.

My favorite game is B-cubed because you have to figure out where to move to finish the level.You also have to move on the red spot last but if you move on it before you have to start all over on that level.The purple one you can move on twice.Its kinda hard because if you step on the wrong one it could mess you up.I think I made it up to level 10,11,12,or well idk.Please Comment!!!♥

The Wizard

The Wizard is about a little boy named Jimmy and his brother Cory.Jimmy wants to go to California.There is a guy that follows them because them because they ran away to California.So Cory and him travel there then when they are at the bus station they realize that they don't have enough money.Then they meet Hailey and then they figure out that Jimmy can play video games so they entered him in a contest in California.While they are traveling to California they found these kids that are entering in too.One was named Lucas and he was really good at them.When they got to the day of the contest they almost get caught buy the man chasing them so they find a way to get away and him,Lucas,and this other girl are playing against each other.The game they are playing is Super Mario.(hehehehhe :)  )At the end Jimmy win 50,000 dollars.

Whatever It takes

Today we watched a movie called Whatever It takes.It was about high schools that are living in bad neighborhoods and they are getting help them get there grades up.They Live in the Bronx and the school name was Dartmouth college.Also it was about trying to help them change their lives so they don't end up in bad conditions.It was cool because they helped change peoples life.

Future

In 5 years I would be 16 and hopefully have my car in High School and getting ready to finish High School and have got my deploma.In 10 years I will be 21 and I will have a job practicing to be a doctor.In 15 years I would be 26 and have already have my doctors degree and have 2 babies a boy and a girl with my Husband.My life is planned out for me because I won't have to buy a house because my house is going to be my house when my parents say I can.Well the battle for the house is between me and my sister.If I do get the house I am kicking my sister out because she's sooo mean to me so sucks for her.If I don't get the house I will have a job somewhere when I'm 17 or 18 so I can save money for college or my house or car or both.:) :D :P

It has helped me plan my game because it helps me know how my game is going to start and look like.Also how my game is going to be like:what to do and how it's going to begin and end.Making the paper prototype was kinda hard because I don't know the theme of it sometimes and how to make it more fun.The fun part was when I was done and I got to play it.

Black History Month Preformance

The preformance was sooooo cool I liked the dancing because it look really cool and I think the meesage was to not forget your heritage.The first preformance was cool becuase the poem was really good becuase he wrote about how he felt being African American.The Raps were really cool becuase the last one mixed a song and added their own lyrics to Black and yellow.

Malcolm X was about someone who didn't like the way African Americans were treated.He preached and was interviewed by reporters about his work on trying to get equal rights.He had alot of brothers who looked out for him so if anything bad happened they were there helping him.They stood by him for everything.He married Betty and had 3 children.

Malcolm X was about a guy who fought for equal rights like Martin Luther King Jr. but he was different.He never wanted to use violence he would try and talk it out and never turn to it.He cared about his family and brothers so if anything happened to them he would do anything he could to make sure they were cared for.He was killed while giving a speech by the nation of Islum.He died with 4 daughters and 2 more with his wife Betty was pregnant with twins.

More Thoughts On Globaloria

Before we started using computers I  knew how to use them.I knew how to go on the Internet,fix it in case it got messed up and all that.Now that we use computers I learned to like blogging and using the wiki,because if I had made a wiki account on my own the only thing I would use it for would be to text my friends :).When we first started using blogger I didn't like it because all we did was blog about some boring things but now that I got use to blogging everyday I like it because on fridays when we are done with are reagular blog post we get to right a free one about anything we want.

Globaloria Reflection

1.One thing I have learned in Globaloria is how to use flash.2.My favorite thing about my globaloria class is that we get to use comeputers and we get to have our own blogger and wiki that we can use everyday.3.I think being in globaloria now will help me in the future because I will know how to make my own game.

Malcolm X

Malcolm X was about a guy named Malcolm that lived during the civil rights time when African Americans weren't treated equally.
Malcolm lived with his mom dad and 8 brothers and sisters.One day Malcolm's house was invaded by the KKK and tried to burn his house down but his dad scared them off.His dad had died and he was taken away by C.P.S and was seperated from his family.Him and his brothers and sisters were put into different homes.

Mad Hot Ballroom

The main message of Mad Hot Ballroom is about kids that learn how to dance and go to the finals and win the trophy.They had to practice real hard to go to the finals.They did their best and they won.They wanted to beat the other schools and win so they worked real hard and practiced.Some of the kids were on a bad road so the teachers decide that dancing might be better for them so that it could change their future.

7. What kind of graphic/animation are in the game? An example of animations are when the player see the wagon move and when you are shooting the animals to look for food.
8. What kind of sounds are in the game?Some sounds are when you are moving from the wagon to a different place.Another one is when you first begin to play the game they start playing a song.Another sound is sometimes when you push a buuton a you hear a beep.
9. What makes this game special and unique? One thing that makes the game special is that other games are made to have fun and Oregon Trail is made to teach the player about different things.
10. Why will it sell?I think people would like to buy it because it is very interesting.

This Week

This week has been really boring because all we did was test :(.This weekend I am going to Sleep,Sleep,AND SLEEP.Nothing better to do so I'm just gonna Eat,Sleep,ANd Whatch Jersey Shore! yeA Now that sounds like a fun weekend to

Teams

Some of my thoughts about teams are that they really help you make the game more interesting
game because you have another person with you and you have another opinion.Some advantages are that they give you their own ideas and you can put them together to make a better game.Another advantage is that they can tell say something to make the game different.Some disadvantages are that you have to talk it over with them and since you might have different opinions you might argue about it.Another is when you want to put your own idea in the game and the other person doesn't want to.

The Pact

The pact was about 3 kids that grew up in the hood and avoided all the negatives from there and they grew up went to college and became doctors.The neighboorhood  they grew up in where really rough and dangerous .They were all friends and grew up together with each other.They made the documantary to encourage people that from where they came from and they still got their daploma and degree.I kinda made connections because I grew up in a bad neighboorhod with fights in the streets and cops,police sienrens and helicopter lights and all that.I don't have any questions about the movie.

This week

This week we learned about game desingning.Me and Karen thought of our game.Our characters are gonna be PENGUINS.A boy penguin or girl penguin.Then you enter your name and begin to play.the beggining of the game you are with another penguin friend but a human comes and they take your penguin friend away so now you have to save them......................................well thats pretty much all we got so I hope you play the game!
